Former DIRT Frontman Resurfaces In GID3

GID3, the Houston-based band featuring former DIRT frontman Travis Powers, has emerged as a leading force in the Texas metal scene, having recently been nominated by the No. 1 FM hard rock station 94.5 The Buzz for "Song of the Year"with the single "Truck Stop Slam Dance" as well as "New Artist of the Year".

GID3's limited-edition, debut six-song EP is available at the band's MySpace page while negotiations and details are worked out with various labels/distributors. The group is currently recording its full-length debut at Origin Sound with producer Craig Douglas for a tentative spring 2007 release. The upcoming CD will include 13 songs and the video for "Truck Stop Slam Dance".
