Former EIGHTEEN VISIONS Singer Completes Mixing Solo Debut

Former EIGHTEEN VISIONS frontman James Hart last year inked a deal with Island Records for the release of his solo debut, tentatively due this spring. According to Hart, the CD "is finally mixed. I have 12 great tracks all mixed by the very talented Chris 'Lord' Alge. If you are unfamiliar with Chris' work, Google him. He has quite a resume. I am still waiting to post some finished tracks up. I'd like them to be completely done. Mastered and all. We are going to look for a mastering date sometime early next week. That is the top priority right now. As for a release date...I would like the album to be complete. I also need to meet with the label. I want to make sure the release of the album is spot on. Timing is everything. I will be taking all of the proper steps leading up to the release to assure that everything will be perfect."

In a fall 2007 interview with MetalSucks, James Hart stated about his record deal with Island Records, "When EIGHTEEN VISIONS was coming to an end, I had discussed the idea of moving forward with or without a band. My manager (who was also EIGHTEEN VISIONS's) really tried keeping the band together. When it finally came to an end, he also wanted me to move forward. He has a couple of bands he works with at Island and approached the label. He wanted me to get together with some writers (which was totally new for me). The label had someone they wanted me to meet and get together with, that being Zac Maloy [of the NIXONS]. I went out to Tulsa back in May and did four songs with Zac… My manager handed them in to Island and they didn't hesitate to move forward with me."
