Former EVANESCENCE Members Writing, Producing Material For CELINE DION

September 17, 2007

Ben Moody and David Hodges, the duo behind the EVANESCENCE hit songs "Bring Me To Life" and "Fallen", have teamed up again to write and produce the new CELINE DION song "This Time", set to appear on her new album, "Taking Chances", due out November 13 on Columbia.

This is not the first time these two have teamed together outside of their work with EVANESCENCE. The duo also collaborated on KELLY CLARKSON's "Breakaway" album where they wrote CLARKSON's "Because of You" and "Addicted". In addition, they also worked together writing for such artists as BO BICE, CHRIS DAUGHTRY, LINDSAY LOHAN and ANASTACIA.

Ben Moody started his music career as the lead guitarist and co-founder of the rock band EVANESCENCE. "Fallen", their major label debut went on to sell over 10 million records worldwide and earned Ben two Grammys. After leaving EVANESCENCE in 2003, Ben began writing and producing for other artists such as AVRIL LAVIGNE's sophomore release, "Under My Skin", penning "Nobody's Home".

David Hodges left EVANESCENCE in 2002 after the release of the "Fallen" album, which won the band a Grammy for "Best New Artist." He went on to work on several other projects, including "Passion of the Christ: Songs" soundtrack in 2004 and the 2005 "The Stealth" soundtrack, which included the song "One Day". Recent collaborations have included the artists ANASTACIA (Epic),LESLEY ROY (Jive) and NICK LACHEY (Jive).
