Former FORBIDDEN Frontman Lines Up California Gigs

July 4, 2002

San Francisco-based "straight-ahead rock'n'roll" outfit PARKING LOT PROPHETS, featuring former FORBIDDEN frontman Russ Anderson, have lined up the following gigs during July:

Jul. 06 – Hollister, CA @ Hollister Independence Rally
Jul. 27 – Fremont, CA @ Fremont Art & Wine Festival

When recently asked about the possibility of returning to the high-energy melodic thrash sound practiced by his previous band, Anderson stated that "I have to move on. I really loved that whole time in my life, but it's over now and I need to grow as a person and musician. Given the opportunity, PARKING LOT PROPHETS will make some noise. I'm happy with the PLP stuff. We do have a bunch of new heavier tunes—nowhere near FORBIDDEN, but still very good."
