Former FUEL Frontman Is CIRCUS DIABLO's New Bassist

May 5, 2006

Former FUEL frontman Brett Scallions has joined CIRCUS DIABLO as the group's new bassist. "Friends with both Billy Duffy [guitar; also in THE CULT] and Billy Morrison [vocals; ex-THE CULT touring bassist and current CAMP FREDDY guitarist] for a few years now, Brett heard the [already completed CIRCUS DIABLO debut] album and after one very simple conversation, flew to Los Angeles this week to begin the process of finding a drummer and completing the lineup," CIRCUS DIABLO write on their web site.

Commented Morrison: "It is an absolute pleasure to work with Brett. We played shows with each other during THE CULT tour, and his work in FUEL was outstanding. He has guested at many CAMP FREDDY shows, and I have also seen him play bass with his New York band THE X'S. Let me tell you, not only can the man sing, he can lay that shit down on the bass as well!" The band will announce the drummer shortly and are currently making plans to do a few select shows later in the year.

CIRCUS DIABLO's as-yet-untitled debut album was recorded at Drac Studios, owned by VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum, and features a guest appearance by Sorum behind the kit. Rounding out the band's current lineup is the former THE ALMIGHTY frontman Ricky Warwick.
