Former GRIM REAPER Guitarist To Perform DIMEBAG Tribute

Former GRIM REAPER guitarist Nick Bowcott will perform a tribute to PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott on stage prior to ANTHRAX's headlining appearance on Friday, June 3 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. The tribute will reportedly include "a medley of the late, great guitarist's celebrated riff and licks." No further information is currently available.

Abbott, 38, was gunned down Dec. 8, 2004 at a Columbus, Ohio, nightclub while playing with the band DAMAGEPLAN. Four other people were fatally shot, including the band's bodyguard and the gunman, who was killed by a police officer.

ANTHRAX's reunited classic lineup of Joey Belladonna (vocals),Dan Spitz (guitar),Frank Bello (bass),Scott Ian (guitar) and Charlie Benante (drums) will be filming the sold-out Sayreville gig for their upcoming live DVD, tentatively due in late 2005/early 2006.
