Former HEAVENLY Members Change Name Of New Project

November 15, 2004

Ex-HEAVENLY members Frédéric Leclercq (guitar),Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson (bass) and Maxence Pilo (drums) have changed the name of their new project to MALADAPTIVE from the previously announced SUXEED. "[There are] several reasons to that, but the great point is that we can be called 'ex-SUXEED' or 'formely known as SUXEED,' which sounds good in a way. MALADAPTIVE was a name we were thinking about for around one year now, and was at first supposed to be the name of our death-black metal project. But as the music we wrote as SUXEED got harder, and well, as we wanted to change our name, MALADAPTIVE came back to the fold. So we are proud to announce that our baby is called MALADAPTIVE and it fuckin' KILLS!

In other news, MALADAPTIVE have parted ways with Danish singer Søren Nico Adamsen (STARRATS). "It was a tough decision, but this was honesty the best for both sides. The fact that we are living very far away from each other was the main problem. We want to thank Nico for great times and good fun. See ya bro and good luck with STARRATS and all your projects!

"So you probably wonder who's the new singer: it's Frédéric! And well, so far it sounds pretty much like we wanted to. Frédéric can add some black-death screams here and there, he's got a powerful voice and he sounds melodic as well (but not gay like in our previous band, if you were asking :)). We light a candle every night and send a prayer for his vocals strings of course.

"Frédéric has a complete different range than Nico, so we worked on some new songs and shit, its catchy and powerful as HELL (if hell is catchy and powerful of course...)."
