Former HELLOWEEN Guitarist To Appear At Brazilian Tribute Gig
March 26, 2002Former HELLOWEEN and current MASTERPLAN guitarist Roland Grapow will be travelling to Brazil on March 18th to partake in a HELLOWEEN tribute concert that is due to be held at Led Slay in São Paulo. Organized by the Brazilian magazine Jornal Rock News as part of their second anniversary celebrations, the show will include appearances by Grapow alongside such “famous” Brazilian musicians as Mário Pastore (DELPHT),Mário Linhares (DARK AVENGER),Renato Tribuzy (THOTEN) and Kleber Sansellici (SACRED SINNER),among others. Roland will reportedly play four or five songs at the event.
In related news, MASTERPLAN have finished recording their self-titled debut album and are presently mixing the effort with producer Andy Sneap. Following the completion of the mixing sessions, the band will shop around for a record deal, with a tentative September release date currently being planned for the CD.
13 songs were reportedly laid down during the recording sessions, with 11 due to appear on the finished CD and the rest being put aside for use as possible B-sides or compilation-only cuts.
