Former ILL NINO Guitarist To Record With SOULFLY

September 29, 2003

Former ILL NINO and current CORETEZ guitarist Marc Rizzo has confirmed that he will be the featured second guitarist on the next SOULFLY album, tentatively due in the summer 2004 through Roadrunner Records. Rizzo completed three gigs with the group last week as the replacement for Mikey Doling (ex-SNOT),who — along with drummer Roy Mayorga — quit the band unexpectedly following the ousting of longtime SOULFLY bassist Marcello D. Rapp. Joining Rizzo and mainman Max Cavalera at the gigs in California and Arizona were drummer Joe Nunez (who played on SOULFLY's "Primitive" release and subsequent world tour) and bassist Bobby Burns (ex-PRIMER 55 guitarist).
