Former KEEN OF THE CROW Guitarists Insist 'The Band Is Done'

March 29, 2007

Former KEEN OF THE CROW guitarists Ron Slater and Seth Arthur have posted another message on the KeenOfTheCrow.net web site reiterating their previous claim that the band is in fact "done," despite the remaining members' assertion to the contrary. "As some of you have probably read there is a difference in opinion regarding the status of KEEN OF THE CROW," Slater and Arthur write. "Regardless of what is touted at the stolen KEEN OF THE CROW MySpace page the band is done. Sure, Justin [Christian, bass; ex-MORGION] and Rhett [Davis, drums; ex-MORGION] may try to trudge forward and find replacements sometime in the future but that does not make it KEEN OF THE CROW. There is no KEEN OF THE CROW without Seth Arthur, who was the main songwriter in the band. Just as there is no MORGION without Gary Griffith. Capiche?? As for Dan Ochoa, who knows?! He may or may not return to the band. I will leave it up to him to set the record straight on that one. In the interim others will try to blow tons of smoke up your ass for various reasons. Just know that there is an agenda involved with everything that springs forth from the MySpace page."

KEEN OF THE CROW's music was previously described as "very melodic in intent" yet with "punishing heavy culmination. Imagine if MORGION, CELTIC FROST, CANDLEMASS, PRIMORDIAL, and NEUROSIS joined forces, it would be labeled appropriately KEEN OF THE CROW."
