Former KYUSS Bassist Joins BUTCHER

May 11, 2005

Bassist Scott Reeder (KYUSS, THE OBSESSED, UNIDA) has posted the following message on his web site:

"The WHORES OF TIJUANA record [which Reeder produced] is done and should be mastered in the next week or so... It was a quickie — raw and dirty, just the way I like it. They're doing presales at their site, www.WhoresOfTijuana.com, and they've got mp3s up. Best of luck to those guys! And because of some scheduling conflicts, I had to back out of finishing the SUNN record — I've got tons of stuff going on right now, including touching up my solo stuff and getting all the artwork elements delivered, among other things — band rehearsals, the impending birthday of doom (the big 4 - 0),some major projects at the ranch, et cetera, all coming down at once. It's all good, though, and those guys are in good hands with the Schnoob. We got some killer stuff done here, though — looking forward to hearing the finished product....

"Speaking of finished product, the BUTCHER record, 'Auricle', is at the pressing plant right now, and should be available in around 2 weeks at www.ButcherBand.com. Camella finished the video just in time for the pressing, which is included in the disc. She also did the photography and layout — looking forward to getting the whole finished package in my hands! Oh, yeah — I joined the band, too — we just started rehearsing, and the vibe is killer. They were my best friends in the world long before we were in a band together, so it's pretty special for me to be able to be a part of this thing. Feels really good to be playing again! Their website should be up shortly..."
