July 23, 2007

According to DailyRecord.co.uk, rock legend Jimmy Page will appear in a Scottish court as the star witness in a bootlegging trial.

The 63-year-old former LED ZEPPELIN guitarist has been cited to give evidence at Glasgow Sheriff Court this week.

He has confirmed he will appear in the case against a businessman accused of trying to sell more than 2400 pirate DVDs and CDs at a fair in the city's SECC in 2005.

Robert Langley, from Buckinghamshire, denies all 12 charges.

If found guilty, he could face up to 10 years in prison.

Page was cited by the prosecution as the alleged stash is said to have included many previously unreleased LED ZEPPELIN performances, featuring hits such as "Whole Lotta Love" and "Stairway To Heaven".
