Former MAYHEM Frontman's SKITLIV Project: Audio Samples Available

September 18, 2006

SKITLIV, the new doom/black metal project of former MAYHEM vocalist Maniac, has posted two songs on its official MySpace page. The first, "Densetsu" (the Japanese for "legend") is a rehearsal track, while the second, "Valley Below", is a rough mix, with drums and additional guitars still to be added.

SKITLIV will be working on the new album "Humanity Has Lost All Pride" until the end of the year and is currently actively looking for a label. The band also plans to tour towards the latter half of 2007. As previously reported, Maniac is also collaborating (vocals and lyrics) with Daniel Jansson on some tracks for the new DEADWOOD album, scheduled for release on the U.K.'s Cold Spring label in early 2007 ([email protected]).

Maniac's previous bands include MAYHEM, BOMBEROS, VOLUSPA, SEPTIC CUNTS, TOTENKOPF, VERNICHTUNG, STATUS FATAL, and he has appeared on albums by WURDULAK, GORELORD, AUDIOPAIN, NECROPHAGIA, MAGENTA, RED HARVEST and BABYLON WHORES.

SKITLIV lineup:

Maniac (Norway): Vocals, Noise and Guitars
Trish (Canada): Drums
Ingvar (Iceland): Guitar
Peter (Sweden): Bass

Special guests have also been lined up and will be announced at a later date.
