Former MEGADETH/BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Bassist Leads 'All-Star Jam' At California Club

July 10, 2013

Lucy's 51, the hotspot for entertainment in Toluca Lake, California, has become the hard rock haven of nightspots for music fanatics as well as aspiring musicians. Featured on Monday nights with the amplifiers on at 7:30 p.m., James Lomenzo (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, WHITE LION, MEGADETH) brings friends to the stage for an all-star jam, and you never know who is going to get up on stage.

On July 8, the second edition of this residency at Lucy's 51 featured Lomenzo on stage with top-ranked industry drummer Kenny Aronoff (CHICKENFOOT, JOHN MELLENCAMP) and respected guitarist Brent Woods (VINCE NEIL, WILDSIDE, WARRANT). The trio invited locals to do more than just hang; they opened the mic up to aspiring rockers who wanted a chance to play.

Chuck Wright, bassist for QUIET RIOT, HOUSE OF LORDS and HEAVEN AND EARTH got on stage to add his flair to a pair of LED ZEPPELIN tracks. Gilby Clarke (KILL FOR THRILLS, GUNS N' ROSES, CANDY) took the stage for a couple of songs while performing with drummer Jimmy D'Anda (BULLETBOYS, LYNCH MOB). As the night rocked on, fans in attendance saw Brian Tichy (WHITESNAKE, OZZY OSBOURNE) and Shaun Williamson (JAMES BROWN, THE MOODY BLUES).
