Former MEGADETH Guitarist JEFF YOUNG Joins ROKTOPUSS

October 23, 2006

Former MEGADETH guitarist Jeff Young has joined ROKTOPUSS, the new band featuring Lorraine Lewis (ex-FEMME FATALE, vocals),Roxy Petrucci (ex-VIXEN, drums) and E.J. Curse (NO DUH, bass),

Lorraine Lewis' and Roxy Petrucci's paths barely crossed in the '80s while Petrucci and VIXEN were touring with rock legends OZZY OZBOURNE, SCORPIONS and DEEP PURPLE and Lewis and FEMME FATALE opened for CHEAP TRICK and others. "I'd heard her voice and knew she was destined for greatness," says Petrucci.

For Lewis, Roxy Petrucci is synonymous with solid, explosive drumming. "She's well respected and I'd been thinking about working with Roxy forever. Our fate was sealed when I saw her at VIXEN's 'Bands Reunited' show for VH1 in 2004 and knew we had to do this," she said.

While they're proud of their '80s history and have great memories of the music they created, Petrucci and Lewis aren't living in the past. "We've more than paid the price of admission on our next run so we're happy to be here," Lewis underlines. "We're living in 2006, our music is now and we'll be coming to your town to kick in your teeth!"

ROKTOPUSS will open for the L.A. GUNS on October 31 at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California.
