Former MUSHROOMHEAD Guitarist JJ RIGHTEOUS Dies At 41
November 2, 2010Former MUSHROOMHEAD guitarist and founding member John E. Sekula (a.k.a. JJ Righteous) passed away on Thursday, October 28 at the age of 41.
Sekula played guitar on MUSHROOMHEAD's first three albums — 1995's "Mushroomhead", 1996's "Superbuick" and 1999's "M3". He was also a member of STATE OF CONVICTION, which is fronted by former MUSHROOMHEAD vocalist Jason Popson.
Besides music in John's life, he was passionate about painting he was a painter by trade and has had his hand in painting many custom homes over the years.
A visitation is being held on Wednesday, November 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Busch Funeral Home in Parma, Ohio. A memorial service will follow from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
