Former NEUROTICA Members Resurface In DEFINE DIVINE

November 23, 2005

Former NEUROTICA/BALD DAISY guitarist Shawn Bowen and former NEUROTICA drummer G.J. Gosman have resurfaced in the San Francisco-based metal band DEFINE DIVINE. The quintet also features former PIMPSLAP THE ATMOSPHERE members Bezl (guitar and percussion) and Angst (vocals),along with bassist Paul Ditomasso.

Angst, originally from Buffalo, was previously the vocalist in TIRANT SIN, the pre-CANNIBAL CORPSE band of drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. "It was a great experience," Angst said. "I would just scream my ass off the whole time. That's what I needed in that phase of my life. I've always had excessive nervous energy."

DEFINE DIVINE's music has been described as "[a mixture] of TOOL and SOULFLY but with [an] original twist." Angst had this to say about the band: "It's self-help music. These lyrics make me feel better. The intention of this music is to manifest inner strength. That's how we DEFINE DIVINE. We help ourselves. This music is very dynamic, like life. It's an emotional rollercoaster. We just continously reach for the highest highs."
