Former NIRVANA Bassist To Release Solo Album?

January 13, 2005

Former NIRVANA bassist Krist Novoselic told the Tacoma News Tribune that some of the music he has been working on during the recent months may surface later in the year. He said, "I'm still making music. I have my studio, and I'm recording things and I have as much fun as possible. But I have that luxury, and I can work on political things. So I can basically just go where my passion takes me." He referred to solo material he has been writing. When asked if it might come out, he replied, 'You might be surprised, like later in the year. It might all come together. Right now, I'm just doing it for myself, and that's what it's all about."

In other news, Krist is a keynote speaker at the Grammy Career Day on Thursday (Jan. 13) at the University of Puget Sound Concert Hall in Tacoma, WA. More information is available at this location.
