Former POSSESSED Guitarist MIKE TORRAO Joins San Francisco's INACAGE

March 4, 2008

Former POSSESSED guitarist Mike Torrao has joined the San Francisco-based metal band INACAGE. According to a posting on the INACAGE's MySpace page, Mike "wrote some of the sickest guitar riffs ever to come out in the metal scene as well as being the main songwriter for the band that led to their success. The direction of INACAGE is obviously going to change to some degree. With Torrao's sick and quick picking accompanied by [Anthony] Pereda's fast fingers on bass, it is going to be interesting, to say the least."

In related news, Torrao has released the following statement regarding former POSSESSED bassist/vocalist Jeff Becerra's decision to perform under the "POSSESSED" name with an entirely new group of musicians consisting of members of California's SADISTIC INTENT:

"Jeff Becerra cannot sign a record deal under the name POSSESSED because of the copyright laws and technically isn't in the right to perform under the POSSESSED name. I suggest Jeff Becerra go under a different name and say 'featuring Jeff Becerra from POSSESSED.'"
