Former SAIGON KICK Singer Comments On 'Waking Up Dead' Movie

Former SAIGON KICK singer Matt Kramer has posted the following message on his official web site:

"Let's start with Phil Varone's movie (my ex fellow SAIGON KICK mate). It's a very truthful reflection of the trials, pitfalls and addictions, that tarnish the glamour usually not seen in VH1 stories. Much more like the juicy ones you just hear about your favorite troubled rock personalities, but never get to see. Even if you dont know or care who Phil Varone is, you will feel close because the film is so brutally honest, and we all will know someone in the same shoes. The film title 'Waking Up Dead' was just picked up by John Daly producer of 'The Terminator' and 'Platoon'. I warned you! But you can check out the trailer to the film at WakingUpDeadMovie.com (if you're 18 or older). The film includes four songs from my solo debut, 'War & Peas', 'Soul Star', 'So Long', 'If God Could Hear Me Now' and film closer with 'Change', and I recently wrote lyrics to a song Phil wrote on piano funny enough about the same week I left SK. The film also includes interviews with yours truly throughout the feature, and is causing quite a stir at film festivals.

"Also, since the waters are stirring, I will be re-releasing 'War & Peas' with a new album cover done by my bud, Miami artist Joe Klucar (even I hate the origional cover). Which will be released in the spring early summer, maybe with a little push this time. 'War & Peas' is only available here at MattKramer.net.

"Although Phil has left the music business to clean up, he has commited to do some shows with me to promote the movie, so watch out for that this spring as well.

"Other that that, I'm writing a lot, getting ready to do a sophomore release, also talking about some new offshoot projects with my old COMA bud, Alex Kane (a.k.a. ANTIPRODUCT, check out Antiproduct.com) which will be very heavy and loud. Separate from that, George Lynch and myself are going to have a go at writing again, but dont expect your usual Lynch, he'll be wailing, but we're going experimental left-field, much like the three songs we wrote together on 'War & Peas'."
