March 6, 2010

A cover version of "A Change Is Gonna Come" featuring former SLASH'S SNAKEPIT singer Rod Jackson will be released March 31 of this year as a contribution to a benefit release entitled "Uncovering A Cure" for APLA (Aids Project Los Angeles). The track was recorded in January 2010 by one of Jackson's current producers/collaborators, guitarist Eddie Brnabic, at his studio, The Validity Room, in Hollywood, California. The band, featuring Jackson on vocals, Eddie Brnabic (BEGGARS BALL) on lead and rhythm guitar and drums, Kevin Briggs (HEALAMONSTER & TARSIER) on bow and AJ Briggs on bass, will appear as THE S.A.F. PROJECT on the compilation and it will be available exclusively on iTunes.

Rod Jackson and Eddie Brnabic are currently collaborating on some material for a full-length LP as well as working on their own solo records which will both be released sometime this year. Kevin Briggs is also currently at work on his own solo record as well as performing with Los Angeles-based electronic band HEALAMONSTER & TARSIER. AJ Briggs is currently in the process of writing material for a blues-based band he is assembling in Los Angeles.
