Former SLIK TOXIK Bassist Found Guilty Of Uttering Forged Document
July 9, 2004Former SLIK TOXIK bassist Patrick Howarth was found guilty earlier this week in an Ontario court of uttering a forged document, according to published reports.
Howarth, 41, who has admitted to being depressed, broke and suicidal, has pleaded guilty to using a forged prescription last Aug. 9, failing to appear at the city police station for fingerprints last Aug. 28, failing to attend court last Oct. 17 and failing to comply with a court order on June 4.
Ontario Court Justice Dino Di Guiseppe found Howarth guilty of uttering a forged document, which occurred Oct. 29, 2002, and found him not guilty of uttering a threat over the phone on March 2.
Howarth, who told the court at an earlier appearance that he's started to turn his life around during the past six months and is recording music again, faces a trial on Oct. 13 on an unrelated threatening charge.
