Former SOILWORK Guitarist Launches Web Site

March 6, 2006

Former SOILWORK guitarist Peter Wichers has launched his official web site at this location. An introductory message from Peter on the site reads as follows:

"First of all, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for the wonderful words of encouragement that I have received across the Internet at different places since my departure with SOILWORK.

"It has been a hectic few months since I left at the Seattle airport to fly home from the last tour, and I can't say that I'm complaining. I'm working alongside with some amazing people the next few months and I'm really excited to see what will be the outcome and what I will be able to contribute with to these projects. I've also been writing a lot for a close friend's project (not official yet). The material is shaping up good, and I wouldn't say that it sounds like SOILWORK, but you can definitely tell that it's my way of writing."

Baltimore, Maryland-based metal/thrash act SAMADHI had previously announced that Wichers will be producing their debut full-length effort beginning in early May. SAMADHI had previously released a mini-CD, entitled "The Finest of Sorrow", via Tribunal Records. Check out a few audio samples at this location.

SOILWORK have yet to announce a replacement for Wichers, who left the band in December 2005.
