Former STONE SOUR Guitarist Resurfaces In DESTROPHY
April 7, 2007Former STONE SOUR guitarist Bruce Swink has resurfaced in the Iowa City, Iowa-based band called DESTROPHY. The group is said to be getting a lot of attention with its latest video for the song "This is Not My Life", which is available for viewing on YouTube.
According to the band's official bio, DESTROPHY's songs are featured on thousands of sampler CDs being passed out at national shows throughout the Midwest, and their live show has garnered them opening slots for bands such as: STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE, MUSHROOMHEAD, RA, POWERMAN 5000, DROWNING POOL, DOPE, DRY KILL LOGIC, SKINDRED, FIVESPEED, 10 YEARS, THE AGONY SCENE, MISERY SIGNALS, and OPIATE FOR THE MASSES, just to name a few.
The last release from DESTROPHY, the "Pray" EP, features "Monarch", "Arms of the Enemy", "Born Again", a cover of THE ROLLING STONES' "Paint It Black", as well as the title track. The EP is an enhanced CD, including the video for the song "Pray", directed by Ben Hill of New Wave Media.
