Former VENOM Roadie Accused Of Child Rape
May 24, 2010Former VENOM drummer Tony "Abaddon" Bray has told U.K.'s Sunday Sun that child rape suspect and ex-roadie Martin Smith was a "loner" who thought he was better than everyone else.
Smith worked for VENOM for a short time in the mid-'80s, but was fired by the group just two weeks after the band's U.S. tour began.
Bray was introduced to Smith after he was appointed to help with their attempt to crack America in 1984.
Smith had been working for Neat Records in Wallsend, Newcastle, at the time as a student, and was given the chance to tour with the band.
