Lane told Rockerrazzi, "Right now I'm working in the studio writing songs for other artists, getting ready to do some charity stuff — shows in the Boston area — in February, and then I'm talking about getting out on tour, probably this spring. But we'll see. Everything's really up in the air. This is the time of the year when everybody's doing all their planning." He added, "I've been working with a friend of mine, Fred Coury from CINDERELLA, who owns a studio out in Burbank, and writing for whoever wants the songs, and some stuff for myself, which I really like."
WARRANT announced in September 2008 that it was splitting with Jani Lane six months after it first reunited with the troubled vocalist. "From the beginning of our reunion talks to the last note of our last show together in Houston [on August 31 at the Rock The Bayou festival], we have had nothing but good intentions of bringing a quality original WARRANT show to our fans and friends," the band explained in a statement. He has since been replaced by Robert Mason (LYNCH MOB, CRY OF LOVE, BIG COCK).
