FOZZY: 'No Gimmicks, No Wigs, All Heavy Kick-Ass Music'

December 20, 2003

FOZZY vocalist Chris Jericho (of WWE wrestling fame) has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"2004 is going to be the year of the FOZZ, to say the least! Myself, [guitarist] Rich [Ward, ex-STUCK MOJO] and new producer Rick Beato are in preproduction for the new, all-original FOZZY record as we speak. Look for it to be the first chance to hear FOZZY as they were meant to be...no gimmicks, no wigs, all heavy, kick-ass music!!

"To whet the appetite, look for two new FOZZY tracks to surface in January. The new Ward/Jericho compositon entitled, 'Don't You Wish You Were Me', will be featured on the new 'WWE Originals' CD due out Jan 13 on Columbia Records. The track is very heavy and very smokin and will give FOZZY a chance to be heard by many people who've never experienced the majesty of the FOZZ before.

"Also, Rich and I recorded 'King Of The Nighttime World' for a new KISS tribute record due out on Koch Records also in January. We were joined by Mike Inez [former ALICE IN CHAINS/OZZY OSBOURNE bassist] and Fred Coury [ex-CINDERELLA drummer] and the song is awesome! This will be the last recorded FOZZY cover song you'll hear for awhile, 'cuz it's all original for 2004 and the future!!"
