FRAGMENTS OF UNBECOMING Begin Recording New Album
October 19, 2005German death metallers FRAGMENTS OF UNBECOMING have commenced the recording process for their new album, enitled "Sterling Black Icon". "The drums were recorded the end of September in the PMT Studios in Lautertal," the band write on their web site. "Ingo [Maier] finished the drum tracks within a few days and they really 'kick.' After that we entered the Sound Tunnel Studio to record the guitars, bass and vocals. Two guitar tracks ['Dear Floating Water' and 'Scythe of Scarecrow'] are also finished. This evening we will continue in recording guitars of 'Live for the Moment, Stay 'til the End'." Other songtitles set to appear on the new CD include "Breathe in the Black to See", "Of the Darkest Dye", "Sterling Black Icon", and "Stand the Tempest".
FRAGMENTS OF UNBECOMING released their full-length debut, "Skywards – A Sylphe's Ascension", in January 2004 through Metal Blade Records. The group had previously issued a self-financed EP, titled "Bloodred Tales".
