"Land of the Freaks", the seventh FREAK KITCHEN album featuring twelve brand new tracks, was released in Scandinavia (Bonnier Amigo, Universal, Rockweiler Ltd.) on October 21 and in the U.K. (Proper Music) on October 19. The band has also inked a deal with Roadrunner Records for the French release of the CD, which arrived on November 23.

FREAK KITCHEN's style of music is influenced by many genres, including heavy metal, jazz and pop.

"Land of the Freaks" features a lot of Indian inspiration and the band is also joined by the two indian musicians — V. Selvaganesh and Neyveli S Radhakrishna — on several tracks.
