FREEDOM CALL Completes Work On 'Dimensions'

February 12, 2007

German melodic speed metallers FREEDOM CALL have issued the following update:

"Yesterday we finished the last workings in Tommy Newton's Area 51 Studios in Celle, Germany and arrived our hometown, Nuremberg, with the master tape in the bag. The new album, 'Dimensions', is READY!

"After more than seven months hard work we are totally happy with the awesome result and can't wait to introduce the new 12 songs. The official release will be probably the 20th/23rd of April 2007!"

FREEDOM CALL drummer Daniel Zimmermann (also in GAMMA RAY) previously stated the album would contain "fast and melodic speed hymns," which will be similar in style to the band's 2002 album, "Eternity".

"Dimensions" tentative/incomplete track listing (in no particular oder):

01. Mr. Evil
02. Far Away
03. Mission Divine
04. Firestorm
05. Dimensions
06. Blackened Sun
07. Power
08. Starborn
09. Ride the Universe
10. Heaven is Hell
11. Castaway

FREEDOM CALL's latest studio album, "The Circle of Life", was released in March 2005 via SPV Records. A live album, entitled "Live Invasion", came out in May 2004. The disc, which was recorded on the band's tour with BLIND GUARDIAN, came with a special bonus CD featuring the "Tears of Taragon" EP plus two tracks that were previously only available in Japan.

FREEDOM CALL has been confirmed for this year's Earthshaker Fest, set to take place July 19-21 in Kreuth, Germany. Also scheduled to appear are MOTÖRHEAD, KREATOR, GAMMA RAY, U.D.O., LEGION OF THE DAMNED, KORPIKLAANI, DEW-SCENTED, MYSTIC PROPHECY and ELUVEITIE. More acts will be announced soon.
