FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES Announces Fill-In Drummer For Australian Tour

January 31, 2008

Long Island post-hardcore act FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES has recruited Joe Zizzo of Victory recording artists THE SLEEPING to replace drummer Jeff Gretz on the band's upcoming Australian tour. Gretz has been forced to sit out the remainder of the band's European trek and the Australian dates after breaking two bones in his right foot in an accidental fall.

Formed in 2000, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES became known for their bruising live shows and for deftly marrying melody to the punishing, aggressive hardcore sound. The band released their first album, "Too Bad You're Beautiful", on Ferret in 2001 that went on to sell over 100,000 copies. The band signed to Vagrant in 2003 and released "The Fiction We Live" (over 150,000 sold),followed by "Abandon Your Friends".

FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES' latest album, "Holding a Wolf by the Ears", sold almost 11,000 copies during its first week of release in April 2007 to land at position No. 73 on The Billboard 200 chart.
