Funeral Services For Late TIGERTAILZ Bassist To Be Held On Thursday

September 22, 2007

Funeral services for late TIGERTAILZ bassist Pepsi Tate (real name: Hugh Justin Smith) will be held on Thursday, September 27 at 12:00 noon at The Point, Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff, Wales, UK. After a short, 45-minute ceremony at the Point, his close family will take Justin to rest in a Dinas Powys cemetery. This burial is intended for close family and immediate friends and not open to all. Please respect this wish of his wife Shan and only attend the burial if invited. After Justin is laid to rest, everyone will return to the Point to celebrate his life until late into the night.

Tate passed away on September 18 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 42 years old.

TIGERTAILZ' new album, entitled "Thrill Pistol", came out late August via Sanctuary Records. An e-card for the CD can be accessed at this location.

"Thrill Pistol" was released as a double CD that also includes a "bonus" disc of the original WAZBONES album which was recorded in 1991 but never officially released. Tate handled all artwork for the LP.

TIGERTAILZ will support Y&T on their forthcoming U.K. trek in October/November.
