GENE HOGLAN Interviewed On 'Rög's Talkin' Drumz'; Audio Available

January 7, 2010

Legendary drummer Gene Hoglan (DETHKLOK, FEAR FACTORY, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DARK ANGEL, DEATH, TESTAMENT) was recently interviewed for the Rög's Talkin' Drumz audio magazine/podcast. The chat is now available for streaming in three parts below.

According to Wikipedia, Eugene "Gene" Victor Hoglan II, 42, is acclaimed for his creativity in drum arrangements, including usage of odd devices for percussion effects and his trademark lengthy double-kick drum rhythms (using what he calls "kick triplets"). His highly technical playing is extremely accurate at very high and challenging tempos, earning him the nickname "The Atomic Clock."

Hoglan is featured on FEAR FACTORY's new album, "Mechanize", which will be released in the U.S. on February 9, 2010 via Candlelight Records and February 5, 2010 in Europe via AFM Records. The CD, which was co-produced by the band with Rhys Fulber (FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, PARADISE LOST),was mixed by Greg Reely (PARADISE LOST, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, SKINNY PUPPY).
