GENERAL SURGERY Add Second Guitarist

September 4, 2003

Legendary Swedish grincore merchants GENERAL SURGERY, featuring DISMEMBER singer Matti Kärki, have announced the addition of second guitarist Johan Wallin (REPUGNANT, SCURVY) to the group's ranks. The band will shortly film a video for the track "Lab Rat" (mp3) from their recently released split CD with THE COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINERS on Razorback Records. The clip, which will not be seen on MTV "any time soon, if ever," according to the band, is being directed by Glenn Sykes of fellow Swedish noiseheads REGURGITATE.

GENERAL SURGERY will enter the studio in October to record two sides for their upcoming split EPs with Spain's most-wanted horror-grinders MACHETAZO and Japan's own toilet-flashers BUTCHER ABC. Both releases will surface through the newly-formed Escorbuto Recordings.
