GENERAL SURGERY 'Almost Finished' With New Recording

May 22, 2007

Legendary Swedish grindcore merchants GENERAL SURGERY have issued the following update:

"Your very own merchants of gore will hit the stage [at this year's Maryland Deathfest V at Sonar in Baltimore] at 8:10 p.m. on Saturday night [May 26]. First show with Dr. Eriksson [bass] in the band and we also have a surprise guest appearance in store for you. There will be plenty of old stuff in the set as well as a spanking brand new song. Don't miss out on this very special occasion.

"We have (almost) finished the new recording. Nine songs in total were recorded at Offbeat studio during May. Some of the titles that may or may not appear on the BUTCHER ABC split are 'Deadhouse', 'Visceral Asphyxiation', 'Decedent Scarification Aesthetics' and 'Enforced Accelerated Disintegration Constant'. The only thing that remains to complete are some slight adjustments to the mix."

GENERAL SURGERY's first full-length album, "Left Hand Pathology", was released in May 2006 via Listenable Records.
