GEORGE LYNCH Performs With DOKKEN In San Antonio; Video Available
March 22, 2010Legendary guitarist George Lynch (LYNCH MOB, SOULS OF WE, DOKKEN) joined DOKKEN on stage this past Saturday, March 20 at Backstage Live in San Antonio, Texas to perform the track "Tooth and Nail" as the second-to-last song of DOKKEN's set. Support at the gig came from SOULS OF WE, the band featuring Lynch and vocalist London Legrand (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION).
Fan-filmed video footage of the "Tooth And Nail" performance can be viewed below.
Lynch was the featured guest on the February 21, 2010 edition of the "Turn It Up" radio show on WSCA 106.1 FM in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. During the chat, Lynch stated that LYNCH MOB's West Coast run of shows as the support act for DOKKEN inspired the four members of DOKKEN's classic lineup to begin working together again. "Yes, actually, it has," he can be heard saying. "And that's something that isn't gonna happen for a little while. We all have our respective commitments, meaning Jeff [Pilson, bass], Mick [Brown, drums], Don [Dokken, vocals] and myself are all real busy this year doing other things. But we've all made a commitment to each other to dedicate ourselves to getting back together. We've already got three songs on the table and we're gonna continue to write throughout the year and put the whole business together and probably go in the studio late fall or early winter of this year and then have a record out toward late spring of next year, and then hit the road."
Lynch subsequently issued a statement retracting the above-mentioned comments and apologizing "for being preemptive," claiming that he "just simply misspoke in his excitement." He added, "We are TALKING about a possible reunion for 2011, but it's still in early stages!"
