GEORGE LYNCH Says LYNCH MOB Will Not Be Touring With MICHAEL SCHENKER

October 24, 2003

Former DOKKEN/current LYNCH MOB guitarist George Lynch has posted the following message to his official web site:

"GEORGE LYNCH SOLO LIVE

"Contrary to what is being posted on blabbermouth.com [sic] (great source of rock news but I wish they would check their facts before they print them) LYNCH MOB is not going on tour with MICHAEL SCHENKER. What is actually taking place is I am putting a band together and hitting the road for selected weekend dates. The purpose of this is to be able to finally play songs that I have never played live, including songs from 'Sacred Groove', various EP's I have released ('Riffness', 'Stonehouse' etc.) and possibly even some LP cuts. The band members, song selection and tour dates have not been finalized yet, but I will let you know when they are. At this time I am scheduled to play with Schenker for 2 shows (Dec 19th & 20th) at the H.O.B. in Chicago, but that is all. I am not playing any other shows with Michael at this time. I will update the Tour Dates section with actual shows as they are confirmed.

"This does not mean that LYNCH MOB has broken up but continues to be on hiatus.

[Editor's Note: At this time, Ticketmaster is showing a listing for MICHAEL SCHENKER and LYNCH MOB at the House Of Blues in Chicago on December 19]

"CALIFORNIA ROCK CAMP

"I am excited to announce that I will be participating in a series of California Rock Camps, the first of which will be taking place January 22nd - 25th 2004. It is a 4 day 3 night package, taking place in Long Beach, CA which will include instrument lessons, recording sessions, tips, celebrity Q&A, mini jam and much more. It would be great to see some familiar faces there. Please go to Californiarockcamp.com for more info.

"MICKEY RATT

"I have been asked to play guitar on 4 MICKEY RATT songs for a RATT/MICKEY RATT compilation for Cleopatra Records. My understanding is that the one and only Jake E. Lee will be playing on the RATT songs. I will give you an update on this after I lay down my tracks."
