German Doomsters SHEPHERD Split Up
May 6, 2004German doomsters SHEPHERD have reportedly split up due to "differences between bandmembers." The group, whose sound was previously described by Doom-Metal.com as "old-fashioned riffing doom in the vein of genre legends like ST. VITUS, PENTAGRAM, THE OBSESSED and BLACK SABBATH," had just completed the recording of their second album, "The Coldest Day" (Exile on Mainstream Records) at the Washington, D.C. studio owned by THE HIDDEN HAND bassist/vocalist Bruce Falkinburg. It is not presently clear if the fully mixed and mastered CD will still be released as originally planned. The previously announced tour with THE HIDDEN HAND will take place without SHEPHERD.
