March 11, 2008

A Gibson Les Paul guitar previously owned by original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley is currently being auctioned via eBay. According to the seller's posting on the auction page, "This guitar was personally sold to me on July 31, 2002 by Ace Frehley. The Letter of Authenticity comes from Ace Frehley himself written in his own hand and signed by Ace to Richie. This guitar was made especially and exclusively for Ace by Gibson."

Ace Frehley was the featured guest on "The Metal File" with Mike Metal on February 29 on CHOM 97.7 FM in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The interview is now available for download at this location.

In a recent interview with DelmarvaNow.comAce stated about his current solo tour, "Everyone in my new band is starting to lock in together and we all get along great on and off the stage. Things are good. Sobriety helps. It's much easier for me to tour now that I'm not waking up with a hangover every day.

"There's an old saying, 'The more you do, the more you can do.' I just think it's important that I get out there and show everyone that I'm trying to make a comeback."

Regarding why he's not playing new songs on the current tour, he said, "I'm going to wait until after the album comes out because I don't want everything on YouTube. I don't think we'll really be able to add more than three new songs to the set anyway. Everybody wants to hear certain songs from certain records. It's hard figuring out what to drop."

Frehley's touring band:

Ace Frehley (Vocals, Guitar)
Derrek Hawkins (Guitar)
Anthony Esposito (Bass)
Scot Coogan (Drums
