GIGAN Signs With NAPALM RECORDS
June 19, 2008GIGAN, the Florida-based band formed by guitarist Eric Hersemann (ex-DIABOLIC, HATE ETERNAL),has inked a deal with Napalm Records. The group, whose lineup also includes guitarist Randy Piro (ex-HATE ETERNAL) and drummer Danny Ryan, will release its new album, "The Order of the False Eye", on July 22 in North America only. A European release date has not yet been announced. The CD was recorded with producer Sanford Parker (MINSK, RWAKE, PELICAN) at the Volume Studios in Chicago.
According to a press release, GIGAN's concept "consists not only of aggressive-intelligent speed, cosmic soundscapes and technicality, but a visual feast as well. Magick-influenced psychedelia will undoubtedly be a lyrical focus in addition to songs inspired by misanthropy and the supernatural."
Commenting on the new material, Hersemann previously said: "The 'Footsteps of Gigan' EP is only a mere glimpse into the GIGAN universe and serves as a gateway to the eventual soundscapes to be unleashed on the new album. GIGAN is always evolving so each release is an important step for us musically and creatively."
