GLENN HUGHES Issues Post-European Tour Update
June 18, 2008Legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (ex-DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) has issued the following update:
"I had an amazin' time on part one of the European Tour. This has been the most rewarding one on many levels. The camaraderie between myself and my band and crew was second to none lifelong memories, people!
"I want to thank all my fans who came out and raised the roof every night and again, welcome to the new, younger fans. You make the difference.
"I have been at my Los Angeles home for a week, now I head back to London this evening for a series of shows in Norway/Germany, then I'm off to New Zealand.
"Wherever you are reading this in the world, I wish you love, and that your life is full of amazing experiences, and euphoric nirvana."
Glenn Hughes' latest album, "First Underground Nuclear Kitchen (F.U.N.K.)", was released last month via Frontiers Records.
Produced by Glenn in Los Angeles, after countless hours spent writing in his home studio, "F.U.N.K." is another magnificent statement from the "Voice of Rock." "It is a roots album, it is a true account of my musical heritage but also fearless and multi-dimensional," said Hughes.
Once again all drums on the record were played by none other than the great Chad Smith of the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, while Luis Maldonado took care of the majority of the guitars (JJ Marsh and George Nastos only appear on two songs each) and Anders Olinder is on keyboards (with Ed Roth guesting on three songs).
