GLENN HUGHES: New Audio Interview, Acoustic Performance Available For Download

June 15, 2006

Legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) was a special guest on the ABC Radio Australia's "The Breakfast Club", hosted by Phil Kafcaloudes, on Wednesday, June 14. In addition to being interviewed, Glenn performed an acoustic rendition of "Nights In White Satin" live in the studio. Download an MP3 file containing the audio of Hughes' appearance on the show at GHPG.net.

In other news, Glenn will play at the Classics in Rock event in Rotterdam, Holland on Friday, October 6, 2006. Classics in Rock is a unique concept where many rock artists can be seen on stage performing their own songs as well as the classics, backed up by a philharmonic orchestra. Joining Glenn will be Pat Thrall, Jimi Jamison and Billy Sheehan, with more to follow.

Hughes's new solo album, "Music for the Divine", has just been released through Frontiers Records. The CD was recorded in Chad Smith's (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) house in Los Angeles and again features Smith on drums and longtime Glenn Hughes collaborator JJ Marsh on guitar. Also featured are RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS guitarist John Frusciante and Mark Killian, who has provided the string arrangements and keyboards.
