August 10, 2007

According to GHPG.net, legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) will be a guest on Court TV live on Monday, August 13 at 9:10 a.m. PDT (12:10 p.m. EDT) to talk about the alleged murder of his friend Lana Clarkson at the hands of music producer Phil Spector. The show is called "Best Defense with Jami Floyd". Glenn will be downtown at the courthouse where he will be interviewed by veteran television journalist Jane Velez Mitchell.

Glenn mentions the trial in the recently released video commentary for the song "Black Light", taken from his latest solo album, "Music for the Divine". Watch the commentary below.

Hughes' long-awaited "Live in Australia" DVD is nearing release. There has been a provisional date of September 1 set for most territories except in Europe, where it's expected in early October. Included on the DVD are live performances from last year's acoustic gigs in both Sydney and Melbourne, plus more live footage featuring Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer) at the Rome show last July, as well as the "Making of Music For The Divine" documentary and behind-the-scenes "tour diaries," plus three of the recent full-length "Music for the Divine" videos.
