GLENN HUGHES To Play Free Concert In Bulgaria

According to SofiaEcho.com, legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) and the Bulgarian bands B.T.R. and SIGNAL will stage a joint concert in Sofia on September 28, 2007.

The event will be held in front of the National Palace of Culture and entry to the gig will be free.

The concert will commemorate the 15th anniversary of local daily newspaper Standart.

SIGNAL will warm up the audience at 5:00 p.m. Hughes and B.T.R. will them hit the stage together, performing some of DEEP PURPLE's greatest hits, such as "Mistreated", "Burn", "Might Just Take Your Life" and "Keep On Moving".

Hughes will be the special guest at the celebration, and he will perform the song "Ne Ste Sami" ("You Are Not Alone"),dedicated to the six Bulgarian medics, who were imprisoned in Libya on charges of deliberate HIV infection.

It will be Hughes's third visit to Bulgaria in 2007. He previously performed two concerts in the coastal town of Kavarna.
