GLORIA MORTI Begins Recording New Album

October 5, 2006

Finnish black metallers GLORIA MORTI have entered guitarist Juho Räihä's studio to begin recording their second album. "He's got quite a few promos and albums under his belt so we decided it would be best if he'd do the album, since he has both the vision and the skill to pull it through," the band writes on its web site. "We've been prepairing the studio for a few weeks now by setting up absorbing acoustic treatment and gathering proper gear and equipment. The very final adjustments to the recording room were made today [Oct. 3], so no actual recording took place, we'll move on to that shit tomorrow. But we did manage to set up the microphones and triggers, test the lines and get the drums tuned, so we are well on our way."

GLORIA MORTI's debut album, "Lifestream Corrosion", was released in 2004 through Firebox Records in Scandinavia and World Chaos Productions in Japan. The CD was mixed at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki and was mastered at Finnvox studios.
