GOAT THE HEAD To Release 'Simian Supremacy' In October

July 17, 2007

Barbaric four-piece hailing from the muddy areas surrounding the river Nidelva in the Norwegian wilderness GOAT THE HEAD will be rearranging sonic sticks and stones at Hulen (literally translates as "The Cave", student union venue in sunny Bergen) on Saturday, August 25 at 14:00 (free entry between 12:30 and 13:30).

Musically ferocious, uncouth and coarse in appearance, the Trondheim-based band will unleash a 30-minute set featuring tracks off their debut, "Simian Supremacy" (out on October 22, 2007 in Norway and November 19, 2007 in the rest of Europe). The album video will be bonus track "Darwinian Minions", an epic 16" of no-holds-barred brutality whose radio single will be 5" worth of a fist in the face.

"Simian Supremacy" track listing:

01. Beast Man
02. Terminal Lesson
03. Mother Horse
04. Crater of Excarnation
05. Bone Throne
06. Simian Supremacy
07. Blood (Armed Evolution)
08. Devianthropology Pt. I
09. Mount Improbable
10. Rockbiting Havoc
11. The Armeniac
12. Heinous Hand
13. Bonus Track: Darwinian Minions

Featuring Per Spjøtvold (ATROX) on vocals, Ketil Sæther (ex-LUMSK) on guitar, Snorre A. Hovdal on bass and Kenneth Kapstad (ANIMAL ALPHA, ex-GÅTE) on drums, GOAT THE HEAD prefers to keep it "simple and organic", an attitude that is mirrored in its live shows, peppered with nudity and primitive rituals.
