GOATWHORE In Writing Mode

September 23, 2008

GOATWHORE, the New Orleans-based band featuring vocalist L. Ben Falgoust II (SOILENT GREEN) and guitarist Sammy Duet (ACID BATH, CROWBAR),is currently writing material for a new studio album According to Duet, "We are well into it. I won't go in the whole, 'This one is gonna be the heaviest one yet, blah blah blah,' but it's gonna be pretty damn heavy. I am really happy with what we have written so far."

He continued, "If all goes to plan, we will enter Mana Studios [in St. Petersburg, Florida] in early Febuary. Hopefully we will do some shows before then... and also we are working on the new RITUAL KILLER album [the project featuring Duet on guitar/bass, Jordan Barlow (ex-CANCER PATIENT) on vocals and Zach Nolan (ex-GOATWHORE) on drums]. Hopefully we will have that recorded by December... And we are doing some shows with RITUAL KILLER in October/November. I hope to see you there.

"Other than that, just sitting on my ass being bored. I miss being on tour, but I guess you have to take what you can get."

GOATWHORE's video for the track "Forever Consumed Oblivion" (see below) was shot during GOD FORBID's Chains of Humanity Tour, on which GOATWHORE was direct support. Acclaimed director David Brodsky (GOD FORBID, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, GWAR) led the production for the eight-camera shoot in addition to handling the directing and editing duties.

GOATWHORE's third full-length album, "A Haunting Curse" (Metal Blade) was recorded at Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL).
