September 12, 2009

Vocalist Byron Davis of New Jersey metallers GOD FORBID has issued the following update:

"I have produced a new clothing company which I believe is the ultimate in apparel for everyone. The line is called 2012. We have a few examples of what is to come. We have already began printing shirts for men, women and children. Check it out. I will be taking advanced orders, so if you are interested and you like what you see, respond with your size and choice of shirt color which for now will be black or white and we will send it out to you immediately."

GOD FORBID has recruited former HIMSA axeman Matt Wicklund to handle second-guitar duties on the road following the recent departure of Dallas Coyle (GOD FORBID guitarist Doc's brother).

Former DARKEST HOUR axeman Kris Norris played second guitar for GOD FORBID during the No Fear Energy Tour with LAMB OF GOD, AS I LAY DYING, CHILDREN OF BODOM and MUNICIPAL WASTE.

GOD FORBID's new album, "Earthsblood", sold around 5,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to land at position No. 110 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD debuted at No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
