GOD FORBID To Replace THROWDOWN On FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Tour
January 13, 2010Due to a family emergency, California hardcore/metal act THROWDOWN has been forced to pull off the previously announced U.S. tour with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, SHADOWS FALL and 2CENTS. Their replacement on the bill is the New Jersey-based metal band GOD FORBID.
The tour starts Thursday, January 21 in Anaheim, California. A list of dates can be found at this location.
When asked about GOD FORBID's plans for the future, guitarist Doc Coyle recently told D-Lux Denim Brand, "We'll probably be looking for a new record label and trying to figure out what the future's really gonna hold. We don't wanna tour too much on a record that's not really supported by the record label. So, I think, [we'll] do one or two more tours, then kind of start thinking about the future."
GOD FORBID's last album, "Earthsblood", sold around 5,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to land at position No. 110 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD debuted at No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
GOD FORBID's previous album, "IV: Constitution of Treason", entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 119 in September 2005 after shifting 8,300 units.
