GODHEAD Apologize For European Tour Cancellation
October 17, 2003GODHEAD have issued a statement explaining their decision to drop off the forthcoming PARADISE LOST European tour in order to allow their drummer Ken Jay (ex-STATIC-X) sufficient time to recover from an undisclosed illness.
"It is with much regret that we have to make this announcement, but our European tour must be postponed," the band's statement begins. "One of our members has come down with a sudden illness that needs to be treated and monitored immediately. He has been ordered by his doctors not to tour at all until more tests have been taken and results have been determined.
"We strongly considered going to Europe with a fill-in player, but the news has come too suddenly and the costs and time constraints would be too great to make it happen. On a personal level we are all deeply saddened for our friend, and deeply disappointed that we cannot come over and play for the European fans. Rest assured that we plan to come back very soon!
"We apologize to the fans, as well as PARADISE LOST, their management, and the promoters and agents that have made this tour possible.
"When we determine the outcome of our friend's health, we will then make a decision on what we'll do for the future. In the meantime we will rally around him and wish him a speedy recovery.
"Sincerely, Jason, Mike, method and Ken"
GODHEAD's latest album, "Evolver", was released in July through Reality Entertainment/Sony.
